The Ministry of Public Health has begun inspecting private hospitals in the provinces, led by Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziyar, Director General of the Medical Council. The committee is reviewing the presence, credentials, and licenses of local and foreign medical staff. Legal action will follow any violations.

As part of the campaign, Dr. Ziyar visited Nangarhar and met with Provincial Health Director Alhaj Mawlawi Aminullah Sharif.

Dr. Ziyar said the ministry is conducting nationwide inspections of public and private hospitals, including foreign doctors. He noted similar efforts were successfully completed in Kabul and Bamiyan.

Nangarhar’s health director welcomed the delegation and expressed hope the inspections would improve healthcare services.

All hospitals in Nangarhar will be inspected, with verification of medical staff, documents, and licenses. Violations will be addressed according to the law.
