Workshop Held to Explain Newly Developed National Policies by Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

The meeting was attended by the honorable Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, along with the deputy ministers, central and provincial directors, and the Deputy for Oversight and Policy of the Administrative Affairs Office, Mawlawi Saifuddin Taib. Also present were representatives from the Ministries of National Defense and Education; Mawlawi Mohsin Hashimi, Deputy for Audit of the General Directorate responsible for monitoring the implementation of orders and decrees issued by His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him), and senior officials from various other Emirate institutions.
His Highness, The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, emphasized the vital role of the newly formulated national health policy by the Ministry of Public Health, which aims to provide equitable and standardized healthcare services to all citizens over the next five years. He considered this policy a significant achievement in the health sector since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate.
His Highness, the Minister of Public Health, stated, “This policy will guide us in advancing the healthcare sector by working closely with our partners, adhering to organized principles and coordinated efforts, while optimizing available resources. All priorities for the well-being of the people will be established in line with this policy.”
His Highness further emphasized, “Our goal is to provide consistent and high-quality services to all residents of the country. Achieving this objective required a comprehensive national policy. Fortunately, the Ministry of Public Health, with the expertise of its internal specialists, has successfully developed this policy, which will not only ensure the delivery of superior healthcare services to all citizens over the next five years but also foster significant progress in the sector.”
In this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy, the Deputy Minister for Health Development and Policy at the Ministry of Public Health, delivered an in-depth presentation on the contents of the policy. He emphasized that the policy will concentrate on seven primary areas, with the aim of further enhancing and standardizing our primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services.
Mawlawi Saifuddin Taib, the Deputy for Monitoring and Policy at the Administrative Affairs Office, stressed the importance of having a policy to ensure tasks are carried out systematically. He called the Ministry of Public Health’s newly developed national policy a major achievement in strengthening and advancing the healthcare sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Syed Rasool Mangal, the Director of Planning and Policy at the Ministry of Public Health, provided a detailed explanation of the procedures and stages involved in developing the policy. He also emphasized his commitment to putting in more effort and dedication to ensure its successful implementation.
