Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy Meets Bamyan Governor to Review Healthcare Expansion Efforts

During his visit to Bamyan province, Mohammad Hassan Ghiyasi, Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy of the Ministry of Public Health, held a meeting with the provincial governor, Alhajj Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister outlined the primary objectives of his visit, which included assessing the quality of health services, inaugurating several new departments, and addressing the needs and concerns of local residents.

H.E. Ghiyasi stated: “In order to ensure that all citizens of the country have access to quality health services, the Ministry of Public Health has initiated a comprehensive program to expand healthcare provision. As part of this national initiative, construction of district-level general hospitals is ongoing across 318 districts, including Bamyan province, where contracts for several district hospitals have already been awarded to construction companies.”

In response, the Governor of Bamyan welcomed the Deputy Minister and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health for taking tangible steps to improve the province’s healthcare system. He further reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration and coordination in the health sector.
