Directorate General of Postgraduate Medical Studies Conducts OSCE Examination for Trainee Doctors Across Afghanistan

The Directorate General of Postgraduate Medical Studies of the Ministry of Public Health conducted an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for trainee doctors from specialized hospitals and supplementary specialty centers (military and private) in the capital and provinces.

The examination was conducted transparently from 19 to 30 May 2026, according to a set schedule, under the supervision of officials from the Directorate General of Postgraduate Medical Studies and with the support of professors from the Ministry of Public Health’s teaching hospitals. It was held in 23 different specialties for all trainee doctors in central and provincial hospitals and supplementary centers, including private and military facilities.

The Directorate General of Postgraduate Medical Studies has consistently worked to apply academic standards to further strengthen the residency program, with the aim of enhancing doctors’ academic level and providing better specialized healthcare services to citizens within the country.
