Heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases are among the major noncommunicable diseases that often require long-term care and regular health monitoring.

Protecting people living with these conditions goes beyond a single stage of treatment. Safe, high quality health services are needed at every stage of care—from prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment to long-term care and follow-up.

People living with these conditions should:

- Share relevant health information with their healthcare provider.

- Ask questions about how to take their medicines.

- Never change the dose or timing of their medicines without consulting a healthcare provider.

- Attend regular check-ups and follow their treatment plan as advised.

- Ask their healthcare provider if they have any concerns or are unclear about any aspect of their treatment.

Safe care for a healthier life!
