Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended the 15th International Scientific and Research Conference organized by the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) in Kabul.

The conference, held under the theme “Learning, Innovation, Quality, and Sustainability,” brought together the Minister of Public Health, senior officials, doctors, researchers, and representatives from various academic institutions. Its aim was to promote scientific research in the health sector, share new discoveries, and exchange professional expertise.

His Excellency Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali commended the FMIC’s scientific initiatives, emphasizing that such gatherings play a vital role in strengthening Afghanistan’s healthcare system and enhancing service quality. He noted that promoting, coordinating, and supporting scientific research remain top priorities for the Ministry of Public Health, as research drives progress, innovation, and evidence-based policymaking. He further highlighted that these innovations are essential for the professional development of healthcare providers and the overall well-being of the population.

H.E. Jalali reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to intensifying efforts to coordinate, monitor, and support research activities in alignment with national priorities and international standards.

The conference also showcased numerous scientific papers and research findings focused on improving healthcare delivery, disease prevention, and the adoption of modern treatment methods.

Participants described the event as a significant step toward fostering scientific exchange, collaboration, and a culture of research within Afghanistan’s healthcare sector.

Representatives of the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children reaffirmed their commitment to training Afghan specialists, sharing scientific expertise, and expanding knowledge exchange.
