MoPH Holds Virtual Coordination Meeting with Nine Provincial Public Health Directorates
An online meeting was held with public health officials from Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan, Samangan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Jawzjan, and Faryab provinces.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Public Health for Health Services, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, along with several central directors and representatives from various directorates. It aimed to strengthen coordination between central and provincial health authorities, assess existing challenges, and take the necessary measures to ensure the effective implementation and timely delivery of health programmes at the provincial level.
Provincial officials shared their challenges, needs, and requests with the central officials and put forward a number of suggestions. The central officials provided the necessary responses and assured them of continued cooperation and support in addressing the challenges.
The meeting also covered adherence to the administrative chain of command, timely completion of tasks, prompt responses to official correspondence, and other important matters.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of close cooperation and coordination and instructed provincial officials to formally share their challenges and requests with the central authorities through the Provincial Health Coordination Directorate, so that appropriate solutions could be identified and the issues addressed in a timely manner.
