MoPH Minister Lays Foundation Stone for Daman District General Hospital in Kandahar

During his visit to Kandahar Province, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of the IEA, laid the foundation stone for the Daman District General Hospital, a project valued at around AFN 50 million.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Health and his accompanying delegation, the Daman District Governor, other officials, tribal elders, and local residents. In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the hospital’s importance in reducing patients’ difficulties and providing essential healthcare services, stating that the implementation of such projects would improve the quality of healthcare services in remote areas and help address people’s healthcare needs in a timely manner.

The Minister further stated that the Ministry of Public Health is committed to expanding access to quality healthcare services across the country, particularly in remote districts, and ensuring that people’s essential healthcare needs are met through the implementation of similar projects.

It is worth noting that construction of the hospital is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
