MoPH Signs $459,748 MoU with SCI to Provide Life-Saving Health and Nutrition Services in Balkh
The Ministry of Public Health signed a six-month Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth $459,748 with Save the Children International (SCI) to provide life-saving health and nutrition services and support child protection for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in Balkh Province.
The MoU aims to improve the quality and accessibility of health services and address the health needs of local communities. Through three health facilities and one mobile health team, the project will provide health services to 56,000 residents of the province and create 52 employment opportunities in the health sector.
Representatives of SCI also expressed their commitment to implementing the project in accordance with all established standards over the six-month period, with particular attention to meeting the health needs of local communities.
