MoPH Signs MoU with AYSO to Reduce Malnutrition in Logar
The Ministry of Public Health has signed a three-year MoU worth $368,870 with the Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) to reduce the prevalence of stunting and other forms of malnutrition in Logar Province.
The MoU aims to improve the quality of healthcare services, expand access to healthcare, and address the health needs of local communities. Under the MoU, 11,916 residents of the province will benefit from healthcare services delivered through 13 health facilities and 50 health posts, while 108 employment opportunities will be created in the health sector.
Representatives of AYSO also assured the Ministry that they would implement the project over the three-year period in accordance with established standards and pay particular attention to meeting the healthcare needs of the local population.
