MoPH Signs USD 300,521 Contract with AKHSA to Strengthen Nutrition and Healthcare Services

The Ministry of Public Health signed a USD 300,521 contract with Agha Khan Health Services Afghanistan (AKHSA) to strengthen nutrition and healthcare services in Baghlan, Takhar, and Badakhshan provinces.

The six-month contract was signed to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and help address the health needs of the local communities. Under the agreement, 108,000 residents of the three provinces will have access to healthcare services through six health facilities, while 45 employment opportunities will be created in the healthcare sector.

Meanwhile, representatives of AKHSA assured that the project would be implemented within six months in full compliance with the established standards, with a strong focus on addressing the healthcare needs of the local population.
