Leadership and Technical Committee Meeting Held to Review and Develop the Reproductive Health Strategy
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, Director General of Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Public Health, and attended by directors and representatives of various authorities of the Ministry, as well as representatives of UNFPA, WHO and UNICEF.
Presentations were delivered on the importance of reviewing and developing the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) Strategy and the proposed framework for its review and development. Following the presentations, participants shared their views and recommendations on the process and expressed their support for the MoPH in implementing the strategy.
Following its review, development and approval by the Ministry's leadership, the Reproductive Health Strategy is expected to be implemented across the country, at both central and provincial levels, with financial and technical support from international partners.
Implementation of the strategy is expected to contribute significantly to reducing maternal and child mortality, expanding access to healthcare services, and strengthening coordination among relevant stakeholders.
