Five-day medicines use workshop held in Ghor
A five-day training workshop on the rational use of drugs (RUD) has been held in Afghanistan’s central province of Ghor. The event was organised by the provincial public health directorate, with support from the BARAN organisation.
The workshop brought together 27 health facility managers and pharmacy officers. It focused on safe management practices and the appropriate and effective use of medicines.
Speaking at the event, the provincial public health director, Abdul Wahid Hamas, said that following health standards and providing safe, high-quality services were key responsibilities of health workers.
The provincial head of BARAN welcomed cooperation with the public health directorate. He stressed the importance of professional principles in healthcare and called on participants to share their knowledge, pledging continued training to build staff capacity.
