Ministry of Public Health Representative Highlights Afghanistan’s CCHF Experience at International Scientific Conference in Jordan
Dr. Enayatullah Enayat, Director General of Monitoring and Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health, represented the ministry at an international scientific conference organized by Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).
The conference focused on recent scientific advances in diagnosing, preventing, and controlling Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), addressing global health challenges, sharing experiences, and promoting the implementation of a joint health system.
The international conference was attended by specialists, doctors, and researchers from Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UK, the US, and other countries.
At the conference, Dr. Enayat presented a comprehensive report on Afghanistan’s experience with CCHF, covering four years of data, treatment outcomes, patient care, laboratory achievements, and public awareness efforts.
At the conference, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health was praised for its surveillance system and patient care, while participants stressed the need for a joint international strategy to research the deadly disease and encourage donor support for high-risk countries.
