Awareness programs on drug prevention were conducted in several high schools in Kabul, Ghazni, and Laghman provinces
These programs were conducted for students and teachers at Esteqlal High School and Ustad Mohammad Sediq Pasarlai High School in Kabul by officials of the 1,000-bed drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul; at Arzo Farda High School in Ghazni by officials of the 50-bed drug rehabilitation hospital; and at Chahar Bagh Boys’ High School in Qarghayi District, Laghman Province, by officials of the 30-bed drug rehabilitation hospital.
During the events, the social, economic, psychological, and health impacts of drug use were explained, along with key information on prevention, addiction identification, and referral to treatment centers. Emphasis was also placed on drug prevention and self-protection.
