The Public Awareness and Prevention Committee of the MoPH’s Ibn-e-Sina 1,000-Bed Drug Addiction Treatment Hospital conducted an awareness-raising session for students and teachers of Zabihullah Esmati High School on preventing drug addiction and the harmful effects of narcotics.

A total of 2,400 students and teachers from the school participated in the program, where they received information on preventing drug addiction. Committee members also raised awareness about the risk factors for addiction, the reasons young people may turn to drugs, and ways to prevent drug use and protect themselves from its harmful consequences.

Furthermore, under the slogan “Combating Drug Use Is Everyone’s Responsibility,” the program highlighted the important role of young people in preventing drug addiction. Participants were encouraged to serve as advocates for awareness and drug prevention in their communities, villages, families, and among their peers.
