Afghan Public Health Minister Seeks UAE Support for Healthcare Initiatives and New Thalassemia Hospital

The Minister of Public Health, His Excellency Dr. Qalandar Ebad, held a meeting with the Afghan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Mawlawi Badruddin Haqqani, at his office.

During the meeting, they discussed initiatives to improve healthcare access for impoverished citizens, the construction of a hospital dedicated to patients with chronic anemia such as thalassemia, bolstering the overall health system, and enhancing the skills of Afghan health workers.

Dr. Ebad emphasized the importance of expanding the capabilities of Afghan healthcare professionals to strengthen the healthcare system and sought support from the United Arab Emirates in these endeavors.

In response, Ambassador Haqqani committed to conveying these matters to the health authorities in the UAE to foster cooperation in enhancing healthcare services, aiding underprivileged citizens, and establishing a specialized hospital for chronic anemia.
