Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs Meets Farah Public Health Director to Strengthen Food and Drug Safety Measures

Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Food and Drugs of the Ministry of Public Health, met with Farah’s Director of Public Health to address food and drugs safety.

H.E Zahid shared the objectives of his visit to Farah province with the Director of Public Health, Mawlawi Sheikh Mir Saddam, stating that the main purpose of the visit is to assess the safety of food and drugs.

He also added that a standard laboratory will soon be established and put into operation in Farah province, enabling imported food and drugs to be tested in a scientific and standardized manner.

Mawlawi Sheikh Mir Saddam, also expressed his appreciation for the Deputy Minister’s visit, saying, ‘The presence of central officials boosts our morale and enables us to provide better services to the people.
