A Health Center in Kunar Becomes Operational After Renovation

The newly reconstructed Chalas Sub-Health Center in Sawkai District, Kunar Province, which was damaged in recent earthquakes, has been reopened after renovation. The project, implemented by the Provincial Public Health Directorate, was funded by the Islamic Center of Afghans in Melbourne, Australia, and the Omar Farooq (RA) Mosque, at a cost of 5 million Afghanis.

At a ceremony held on the occasion, attended by the Deputy Governor of Kunar, the Provincial Public Health Director, officials from various authorities, representatives of HealthNet, tribal elders, media, and others, Kunar Public Health Director Qari Muzaffar Khan Mukhlis assured the public of the delivery of quality healthcare services and thanked the supporting organizations.

Notably, with the opening of this center, between 3,000 and 7,000 local residents will have access to quality healthcare services in a standard facility.
