Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali Meets Health Officials in Balkh, Pledges Support for Services
During his visit to Balkh Province, the Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, along with his delegation, met with hospital officials and healthcare workers.
Health officials shared their concerns and requested additional staff, medical equipment, ambulances, and other essential supplies.
H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali praised the efforts of healthcare workers in Balkh Province and encouraged them to continue their work. He also noted that steps are being taken to improve salaries, expand hospital services in districts to reduce pressure on central hospitals, and ensure transparency in specialty program examinations, adding that these initiatives will be completed soon.
The Minister assured that the ministry’s internal budget would be used to provide essential medical equipment to Balkh Province and to further strengthen healthcare services at the zonal level.
The Director General of Planning and Policy, Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, briefed on the health sector’s development, policies, and future programs, saying the Ministry of Public Health is working to enhance responsiveness to public needs through planned initiatives.
