Minister of Public Health Shares Key Outcomes of Official Visit to Saudi Arabia
Following his return from Saudi Arabia, Minister of Public Health Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali convened a meeting with the deputy ministers and central directors.
The Minister briefed participants on the key outcomes of his visit, including his attendance at the medical equipment and artificial intelligence exhibition, site visits across Saudi Arabia, and meetings with the Saudi Health Minister, officials from the King Salman and Gates Foundations, and the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean.
He thanked the attendees for their cooperation and issued necessary directives to address existing challenges. The Minister underscored the need for effective implementation of the National Health Policy, punctuality, accountability, and greater coordination across all departments.
Highlighting the importance of modernization, the Minister proposed developing a comprehensive electronic health system. He urged the adoption of successful international practices and called for sustained efforts to strengthen the national health sector and deliver quality healthcare services across the country.
Participants described the Minister’s trip as highly productive, describing such visits as important and beneficial for the health sector. They affirmed their continued commitment to improving the health system and resolving existing issues through dedicated teamwork.
