MoPh convened a meeting with local pharmaceutical factories’ officials to coordinate, offer support, prioritize production, and resolve prevalent challenges
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid; the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administrative Affairs, Qari Abdul Wali Siddiqui; the Deputy Minister of Health Services, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani; the Deputy Minister for Health Promotion and Policy, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy; and officials from manufacturing factories. It focused on improving coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, increasing the production of new medical supplies, meeting the needs for local products, and prioritizing local products in health services.”
Speaking at the meeting, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid emphasized the value of local products and assured his full cooperation with the manufacturers.
While thanking the manufacturing factories for their cooperation during emergencies and natural disasters, Mawlawi Zahid provided recommendations to enhance coordination and preparedness in such situations.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, described local products as valuable and thanked the manufacturing factories for their domestic investment. The Deputy Minister for Health Development and Policy, Dr. Mohammad Hassan, and the Deputy Minister for Finance and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Abdul Wali Siddiqui, also spoke about local products, stating that they would prioritize them through a systematic mechanism.”
At the end of the meeting, the officials from the manufacturing factories presented their requests and highlighted existing challenges to the leadership, who assured them of full cooperation.
