A meeting was chaired by Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with the participation of Deputy Ministers for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Policy and Health Development, and Health Service Delivery, as well as central directors of the Ministry of Public Health. The agenda focused on the prevention and control of monkey pox within the country.

During the session, Minister Jalali issued directives to the relevant departments to enhance coordination and effectively utilize existing resources to manage and prevent monkeypox and other communicable diseases.

Furthermore, the Minister instructed officials to expedite the distribution of medications to hospitals and health centers in both the capital and the provinces, ensuring that patients receive the necessary medical attention.

The central directors assured the Minister of their commitment to implementing essential measures and improving coordination among agencies to effectively prevent and control monkeypox and other communicable diseases nationwide.
