The Ministry of Public Health initiates an examination process for approximately 450 professional vacancies

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has initiated an examination process for approximately 450 professional vacancies through an open competition, underscoring its commitment to merit-based recruitment.

The examination, which was conducted electronically by the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Commission, attracted 3,585 qualified candidates from twelve diverse departments. The opening ceremony, attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, various central directors of the ministry, the Deputy for Monitoring and Policy of the Affairs Administration, Mawlawi Saifuddin Taib, and the Director of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Commission, Mufti Shahzad Noor Rashid, marked the commencement of this pivotal event.

In his opening address, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali highlighted the Ministry’s pivotal role as a professional institution, stating: “Providing standard healthcare services to the citizens of the country is a fundamental duty of the Islamic system, particularly the Ministry of Public Health. With this objective in mind, we are resolute in conducting examinations for all professional vacant positions within the ministry through an open competition, ensuring that appointments are made based on merit, integrity, and professionalism.”

Moreover, the Minister urged all candidates to maintain focus on their academic development and emphasized that the Ministry intends to continue its practice of conducting open competitive examinations for future vacancies.

 

On a parallel note, Mawlawi Saifuddin Taib, the Deputy for Monitoring and Policy of the Affairs Administration, reassured the public regarding the examination’s transparency. He underscored that the process would be free from any human intervention, with only those candidates who fulfill the necessary qualifications being deemed successful.
