In a bid to streamline the presence and operations of both national and international doctors and healthcare professionals in the country’s private medical sector, the Ministry of Public Health has put together a high-authority committee.

Under the leadership of Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziyar, Director General of the Medical Council, the ministry has set up this empowered committee to look into academic credentials, professional licenses, and residency documents of Afghan and foreign medical staff, including doctors and nurses. Should any violations come to light, legal action will be taken accordingly.

As part of the ongoing inspection drive, the committee has carried out oversight visits to Diamond Clinic, Millat Clinic, Global Clinic, and Amiri Hospital. During these visits, the committee officials laid down clear guidelines regarding the acquisition of official licenses from the Ministry and the provision of standardized medical services.

This monitoring campaign, currently underway in Kabul, is set to roll out across other provinces. In the event of violations, necessary instructions will be issued, and legal steps will be taken against those who are found to be in breach of regulations.
