UNICEF has donated two operating tables worth 300,000 Afghanis to the obstetrics and gynecology ward of Nangarhar Regional Hospital
The equipment was officially handed over to the hospital authorities in the presence of Mawlawi Aminullah Sharif, Director of Public Health for Nangarhar.
The Nangarhar Director of Public Health expressed his appreciation for UNICEF’s continued support and conveyed his hope for further cooperation in the future.
It is noteworthy that approximately 25 surgical procedures are performed daily in this ward. With the provision of these new operating tables, the quality of patient care is expected to improve, the surgical process will become more efficient, and maternal and child health services will be further strengthened and expanded.
