Foundation Stone Laid for HIV Center at Farah Provincial Hospital

The center, funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) at a cost of nearly AFN 2 million, had its foundation stone laid in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Wali Ahmadzai, Director of Public Health of Farah Province, along with a number of health officials and staff.

The center is being constructed within the premises of Farah Provincial Hospital and, once completed, will provide patients with quality healthcare services in HIV prevention, diagnosis, care, and treatment.

The Director of Public Health of Farah Province described the establishment of the center as an important step toward strengthening healthcare services and stressed the need to expedite the construction work and ensure compliance with all required standards throughout the project.
