MoPH and KOO Sign MoU to Provide Rehabilitation and Psychosocial Services to Persons with Disabilities
The Ministry of Public Health signed a nine-month Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), valued at USD 32,527, with the Kabul Orthopedic Organization (KOO) to provide psychosocial support and physical rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities in Kabul Province.
The MoU was signed to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and address the health needs of the communities. Under the MoU, 570 residents of the province will benefit from healthcare services through a physical rehabilitation center for individuals with disabilities, while 12 employment opportunities will be created in the health sector.
Meanwhile, representatives of KOO assured that the project would be implemented within nine months in accordance with all established standards and that particular attention would be given to addressing the healthcare needs of the communities.
