MoPH Internal Audit Delegation Conducts Comprehensive Oversight of Health Centers in Ghor Province
The Director of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Public Health, Mawlawi Mohammad Salim Haqqani, accompanied by a technical delegation and in the presence of Mawlawi Abdul Wahid Hamas, Director of Public Health for Ghor Province, and the head of the BARAN implementing organization, conducted a comprehensive oversight visit to the health centers in Charsada and Allah Yar districts, as well as the Ghalmin Health Center in Firozkoh District.
During the visit, the quality of healthcare services, the delivery of healthcare services to patients, the attendance and work discipline of healthcare personnel, the availability and management of medicines and medical equipment, the status of laboratory services, immunization services, hygiene and sanitation, maternal and child health services, the recording and reporting system, infection prevention and control (IPC) measures, and the cleanliness of the health centers were assessed against the Ministry's standards. Emphasis was also placed on improving the quality of healthcare services, adhering to professional standards, making effective use of available resources, and providing patients with quality healthcare services.
The delegation also met with patients, community leaders, and healthcare personnel, holding discussions with them and listening to their views and recommendations regarding the quality of healthcare services, access to medicines, the conduct of healthcare personnel, and the existing challenges. The delegation also emphasized the importance of accountability, transparency, respect for patients' rights, and continuous improvement in the quality of healthcare services.
Furthermore, the Internal Audit delegation provided the management of the health centers and the implementing organization with the necessary recommendations to address the identified challenges, ensure the effective utilization of available resources, and deliver quality and transparent healthcare services in accordance with the principles and regulations of the Ministry of Public Health.
