Officials from the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Monitoring and Evaluation of Medicines, Health Products, and Food conducted inspections of several pharmacies in Kabul’s 9th, 12th and 13th districts to control prices, prevent hoarding and monopolies, ensure quality, and enforce health regulations.

During this monitoring, 42 private healthcare centers were inspected, of which 8 pharmacies and one major drug store were closed for violating health regulations.

The Ministry of Public Health officials urged all pharmacy managers to operate in an organized manner and comply fully with applicable health laws and regulations.
