Monitoring was carried out at food outlets and pharmaceutical production facilities in Helmand and Nangarhar provinces

The inspection, which was conducted by officials from the Inspection and Monitoring Department, resulted in the seizure of "12" varieties of expired food products in Helmand and 30 cartons of substandard syrups from a private manufacturing plant in Nangarhar. These items were then transferred to the central warehouse for disposal.
Moreover, the relevant authorities were issued detailed recommendations regarding quality improvement and compliance with legal standards, with a clear warning that failure to comply would lead to legal consequences.
