A supervisory inspection was conducted in Nangarhar to regulate and control medicine prices
The Pharmaceutical Surveillance Team of the Monitoring and Inspection Department of the Nangarhar Provincial Public Health Directorate carried out a comprehensive oversight visit to wholesale and retail pharmacies, as well as to pharmaceutical companies in Jalalabad city, with the aim of enforcing price control regulations.
The team secured formal commitments from pharmacy owners and company representatives, requiring them not to sell medicines at inflated prices and not to engage in price-manipulation practices, such as stockpiling medicines to artificially increase demand and raise market prices.
Similarly, the team issued clear directives to pharmacy owners, emphasizing that all medicines must be sold at the officially designated margin, so that citizens can maintain fair and affordable access to essential medical products.
