Botulinum Antitoxin Urgently Brought into the Country for Three Critical Patients, in Coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and in Cooperation with WHO and Türkiye

Through the efforts and coordination of the MoPH, and with the cooperation of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Türkiye, seven-valent botulinum antitoxin (Heptavalent Botulinum Antitoxin)  was urgently brought into the country to treat three hospitalized patients at a private hospital.

The medicine, which is used to treat cases of botulinum toxin poisoning, was handed over by the MoPH to the relevant hospital for use, as needed, in the treatment of patients requiring it.

The Ministry of Public Health expresses its appreciation to the WHO and Türkiye for their cooperation and remains committed to working closely with national and international partners to ensure the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies for the treatment of emergency and critical conditions across the country.
