More Than 3,000 Samples of Medicines and Health Products Tested for Quality in Sunbula
In Sunbula 1405 (September 2026), the Directorate of Food, Drug and Health Products Quality Control Laboratory, affiliated with the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority of the Ministry of Public Health, received and subjected a total of 3,464 samples to laboratory testing, including 3,318 medicine samples, 116 food samples, and 30 water samples.
Of the samples tested, 3,144 were found to meet the required quality standards, while 109 were found to be non-compliant. In addition, 42 samples were rejected, and 169 medicine samples were registered for re-evaluation.
It is worth noting that AFN 3,874,418 in revenue was generated through these laboratory services during the month. These activities were carried out to ensure the quality and safety of medicines, food, and water and to prevent the distribution of substandard products.
