MoPH and IRW Sign MoU to Support Earthquake-Affected Communities in Kunar

The Ministry of Public Health signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth USD 462,959 with Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) to provide multisectoral WASH, Health, and Nutrition services to earthquake affected people in Kunar Province.

The MoU was signed to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and address the health needs of the local communities. Under the MoU, 5,640 residents of the province will receive healthcare services through two health centers and two mobile health teams, while 15 people will be provided with employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

 Meanwhile, representatives of HPRO expressed their commitment to ensuring that the project is implemented in accordance with all established standards and to giving particular attention to meeting the healthcare needs of the local communities.
