Twelve tons of expired and substandard medicines and food items have been destroyed in Parwan Province

The items were collected over the past six months by a joint committee from the Parwan Public Health Directorate, in coordination with relevant Emirate authorities, from Charikar city and several districts across the province.

Dr. Niaz Mohammad Mukhlis, Director of Public Health in Parwan Province, said that monitoring efforts are ongoing and that authorities are working to remove expired medicines and food products from markets in Charikar city and surrounding districts.
